Few devotions to green

Here are few simple things every consumer can do to help reduce your environmental impact, save money, and live a healthier life.
Save Energy
· Unplug every electrical outlet when not in use( you can use a timer, one timer which has two plugs in it cost less than $10 in stores like Target
· Put your thermostat a few degrees lower in the winter. Put off the AC when not in use
· When you can afford to invest in Solar Panel installation, use the solar energy to produce your own electricity at your home…. Let the electric company pay you instead
· Use energy saver light bulbs
Eating habits
· If you eat meat, include one meal without meat. Not only meat costs a lot but also it contributes to environmental health concerns.
· Eat your left overs
Skip the bottled water
· Instead of buying a bottle of water, use water filters to purify tap water. The bottle generates large amounts of container waste.
· Use reusable water bottle (preferably aluminum rather than plastic) when leaving the house.
Ink & Paper use
· Scan instead of copy
· Subscribe to online newspapers and magazines
· Recycle your paper and ink cartridge
· Borrow books and movies from library instead of buying
·
Broken Cell phones?
· Donate or recycle your cell phones, computers, printers, and other electronics. Check out www.phoneraiser.com . They pay you for recycling.
· If you need to buy new devices, trade in your old ones for cash
· Ask your local government to set up an electronics recycling and hazardous waste collection event.
Do it yourself. Grow your own vegetables, hand wash your own car, hang your cloth to dry

Alternative Energy

One of the greatest ecofriendly global warming preventions is the use of solar power. The leading cause of industrial air pollution in the U.S. is electric generation as most of our electricity comes from coal and other non-renewable power plants. This contributes to our polluted air, land and water. That approach is simply not sustainable, and our current way of living must be overhauled. Our ecofriendly global warming preventions include, using solar panels for homes and businesses, wind power, gadgets that work solely with solar power. We also promote green apparels that contribute to our list of ecofriendly global warming preventions.
